Job Requirements


Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred, minimum of fifteen (15) years long term care administration experience with a valid nursing home administrator license as required by the jurisdiction or eligible to obtain within six months. Experienced with operational, regulatory, financial and other aspects of healthcare services. Incumbent should be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form, possess high-quality verbal and written communication ability, strong interpersonal and leadership skills, and be knowledgeable on budget processes and state and federal regulations. Must be proficient in the operation of computer applications.


Job Summary


The Associate Executive Director Healthcare Administrator is responsible for executing strategic direction, operational excellence, continued financial success, and the oversight of day-to-day operations of the Healthcare Center, (Skilled Nursing, Skilled Nursing Memory Care, Assisted Living, Memory Support Assisted Living, Wellness Center/Clinic, Independent Living Social Work Program, Resident Review and Tenancy Program, and outpatient Rehab Services). The Associate Executive Director Healthcare Administrator will assist the Executive Director with the day-to-day operation of the community. The Associate Executive Director Healthcare Administrator will be forward thinking regarding the future of healthcare services and will be innovative in their approach to identifying future delivery models for care and services to the elderly. They will embrace a person-centered philosophy.

engaged in the campus community, as well as the Ingleside and broader communities.


This role requires a leader who can identify opportunities for improvement and who will be adept at managing anticipated changes in a mature, purposeful, considerate and collaborative way. The Associate Executive Director Healthcare Administrator build on the Healthcare Service Teams many strengths while also assessing emerging trends in healthcare care services that will further strengthen the organization’s ability to realize its mission.


Reporting Relationships


The Associate Executive Director Healthcare Administrator will report directly to the community Executive Director.


Responsibilities


· The Associate Executive Director Healthcare Administrator will assist the Executive Director with the day-to-day operation of the community.


· Responsible for the full life cycle of day-to-day operations of the Healthcare Center, (Skilled Nursing, Skilled Memory Care, Assisted Living, Memory Support Assisted Living, Wellness Center/Clinic, and outpatient Rehab Services) supporting a culture of Resident Directed Life and the principles of the Well Being Model.


· Oversees the Independent Living Social Work Program, Resident Review and Tenancy Program.


· Drive high quality nursing, caregiving and support services for all residents, in compliance with all local, federal and state regulations. Maintain 5 Star CMS rating.


· Responsible for Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement and for fostering a culture of compliance in operations. Chairs the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) Committee and is responsible for developing a comprehensive program to measure the quality of resident care. Ensures corrective action is taken to resolve identified issues where appropriate.


· Create a positive working environment. Recognize each colleague and promote cooperation and high standards of performance. Demonstrates team and individual behaviors that support change within the culture on a consistent basis.


· Responsible for the financial aspects of the Healthcare Center, (Skilled Nursing, Skilled Memory Care, Assisted Living, Memory Support Assisted Living, Wellness Center, and outpatient Rehab Services). Ensure that the Healthcare Center, (Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, Memory Support Assisted Living, Wellness Center/Clinic, and outpatient Rehab Services) is financially stable and that ethical and financially sound business practices are used. Maintains resident census within the Healthcare Center to ensure optimum revenue. Oversee completion of annual Healthcare Center operational and capital budgets.


· Responsible for being an ambassador for the community to visitors and external audiences.


· Provide leadership, mentoring and overall direction for the management team and staff. Foster an environment where the management team is collaborative, cohesive and works toward common goals and objectives.


· Identifies and suggests innovative management approaches and participates in implementing performance opportunities. Develops and uses collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals and objectives.


· Maintains confidentiality and acts as a role model to other staff throughout various departments.


· Maintains quality working relationships and communications throughout each department. Communicates with the Executive Director to share information regarding departmental operations.


· Effectively manage working relationships with the community team, which may include a portion of the workforce that is unionized.


· Provide a consistent framework of employee management through consistent employee reviews, ongoing training and a culture of responsibility.


· Participate in resident committees when appropriate.


· Collaborate with Ingleside headquarters partners, continually monitor and improve, where necessary, all systems and processes, recommending new policies, processes and procedures where appropriate.


· Collaborate with Ingleside to assess community’s current priorities and future needs. Stay abreast of emerging trends in the marketplace.


· Collaborate with residents and the management team, provide focus regarding the community’s strategic priorities and an overall framework that clearly articulates the overall strategic direction.


· From time to time, participate in Ingleside Board and Committee meetings.
