A growing veterinary company is looking for Associate Veterinarian for various locations

 

Responsibilities:

  • Has to conduct thorough examinations of animals, diagnose illnesses, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Should perform medical procedures, surgeries, and dental treatments with precision and care.
  • Must prescribe medications and administer vaccinations to promote animal health.
  • Should be able to communicate effectively with pet owners, providing detailed information about their pet's condition, treatment options, and preventive care.
  • Must collaborate with fellow veterinarians and veterinary staff to ensure seamless patient care and share knowledge.
  • Should maintain detailed and accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress.
  • Must uphold the highest standards of ethical veterinary practice and comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Must exhibit compassion and empathy towards both animals and their owners, ensuring a positive and supportive experience for all.

Qualifications:

  • The candidate should be a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD) degree from an accredited veterinary school. Active and valid veterinary license in the state of Texas.
  • Must have completion of a one-year internship in a veterinary practice or related field. (Preferred)
  • Must possess strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
  • Should be proficient in diagnosing and treating various animal diseases and injuries.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
  • Should have demonstrated ability to handle challenging situations with composure and professionalism.
  • Must be physically able  to meet the demands of the role, including handling animals and standing for extended periods.
  • Should have a genuine passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing the best care possible.
  • Must be willing  to stay updated with advancements in veterinary medicine through continuing education.
