UnityPoint Health – Allen Hospital is a 204-bed, community hospital serving the Cedar Valley. Allen Hospital is the busiest hospital in the Cedar Valley. We care for more inpatients, outpatients, emergency patients and cardiac patients than any other hospital in our 10-county service area. United Medical Park and Prairie Parkway offer outpatient care in facilities that are built for your comfort and convenience.

  • The American College of Cardiology has recognized Allen Hospital as an accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI for demonstrated expertise and commitment to treating patients with chest pain
  • Utilizes EPIC as an electronic health record both for inpatient and outpatient services.

Responsibilities

  • Clinic hours: M-F 830AM-5PM
  • Full call participation, equal share nights, weekends, daytime hospital rounds
  • 2 Cath labs, 1 EP lab, and 1 IR lab
  • 6-8 Ablations per week with 6-10 devices (90% Boston Sci and Medtronic)
  • Mapping is Abbott
  • Shares call with internationalists on back up for procedures
  • Our board-certified cardiologists are dedicated to helping prevent, manage — and overcome — heart or vascular disease
  • Heart care includes Cardiovascular and cardiothoracic Surgery
  • 204 bed Hospital with well-established hospitalist team
  • Excellent specialty support
  • 12 Bed ICU with intensivist
  • 31 Bed ED and Level 3 Trauma Center with Specially trained Physician and Nurses in providing emergency care, as well as in trauma and resuscitation.

Qualifications

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in  EP Cardiology
  • Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of State
  • Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice
  • Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
  • J-1 waiver sponsorship available
