As a clinical psychologist at EMH, you will be an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team. We focus on providing clinicians with the tools needed to succeed in their roles. You will work directly with a trained clinical manager and the support team to enhance your skill set and experience working with this complex population.
Assess, diagnose, and treat residents in skilled nursing facilities. You will have the opportunity to provide mental health services to a diverse and medically complex population, including geriatric patients, patients with disabilities, and those with complex psychiatric histories.
Maintain an active caseload and work with the team to maintain a referral stream.
Develop relationships with facility staff and provide consultation e.g. curbside consult, in-services as needed, etc.
Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner.
Document-based on medical necessity and in accordance with Medicare standards.
Requirements
Doctoral degree (Ph.D., PsyD) in Clinical
Psychology (required)
Current and valid California state license as a
Psychologist (required)
Medicare Provider eligibility (required, our
in-house billing team assists with this)
Ability to be placed on 3rd party insurer
panels (required, we assist with this process)
Strong clinical background in evidence-based
practices
Telehealth experience and/or willingness to
learn and utilize modality
