Dental Assistant, Oral Surgery

We are currently seeking an experienced oral surgery, dental assistant to join our team and contribute to the continued success of our practice.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the oral surgeon during dental surgeries and procedures, including extractions, implant placements, bone grafting, and biopsies
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols
• Taking and developing dental x-rays, 3D scans, and digital images as required by the oral surgeon
• Educating patients on pre-operative and post-operative care instructions, including medication usage, diet restrictions, and oral hygiene practices
• Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment details, in accordance with HIPAA regulations
• Assisting in maintaining and ordering dental supplies, equipment, and inventory

#INDDENTAL

• 1 year of experience as a dental assistant required
• X-ray certification required
• Oral surgery experience preferred
• Familiarity with Dentrix, or other dental software systems preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
