Kinmount and District Health Centre (KDHC) is looking for additional Family Physicians to join the team. This is a thriving clinic located in Ontario’s beautiful cottage country. A two year commitment is sought with goal of long-term involvement. Supervision is available.

Hours are flexible with 40 hours per week to qualify for the Northern and Rural Recruitment and Retention Initiative (NRRRI) which is $88,000 paid over 4 years. Payment structure is fee-for-service (Comprehensive Care Model). Offices and examination rooms are fully equipped and Telus Practice Solutions EMR is used. Overhead split is typically a competitive 80/20, and the range of potential annual earnings depending on patients seen is $275,000-$350,000.

General Practitioners and Family Physicians perform some or all of the following duties:
• Examine patients, order diagnostic procedures, and consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health
• Prescribe, administer, and monitor medications and treatments
• Perform minor surgeries
• Provide emergency care
• Provide acute care management
• Vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases
• Provide pre-natal and post-natal care
• Advise patients and their families on health care, including health promotion, disease, illness and accident prevention
• Provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues
• Perform patient advocacy role
• Co-ordinate or manage primary patient care
• Provide continuous care to patients
• Supervise home care services
• Report births, deaths, and contagious and other diseases to governmental authorities.

Requirements
• Postgraduate training from Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia or USA
• Eligible for certification by the College of Family Physicians Canada (CFPC)
• Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
• Experienced and new to the profession physicians are welcome to apply
