Licensed Psychologist Manager, Corrections - SCI Dallas

We are seeking a highly motivated Licensed Psychologist Manager, Corrections to help oversee our psychology department at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Dallas. As a Licensed Psychologist Manager for the Department of Corrections, you will be responsible for the planning, organizing, and directing of the psychological services program for the institution. In this position, you will be coordinating the psychological services program at SCI Dallas with other disciplines. You will also develop and write new policies and procedures for existing programs and chair the population Psychiatric Review Team. Additionally, you will also be a standing member of the clinical review team for suicides and attempted suicides, consult with psychiatry and medical staff, and perform psychological testing and evaluation of inmates.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or Psychologist; or
• One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, mental retardation or behavioral dysfunction.

Special Requirements:

• You must have possession of a valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or possession of a valid license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board. Applicants with out-of-state licensure must obtain Pennsylvania licensure within one year of employment.

Other Requirements:

• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required. 
• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

• You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
