The Spine Team Texas Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting physicians and medical staff in a very busy Clinic. It is imperative for this position to assist in ensuring appropriate and timely patient flow. This position is also required to schedule procedures for patients to ensure that the clinic flow is smooth. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Spine Team Texas. This position also must comply with all HIPAA regulations at all times.

Job Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for providing timely and efficient support to all medical staff and patients within the clinic. Also responsible for the maintenance and supplies of clinic rooms, pods, and medicines. Outstanding customer service via phone and in person is imperative for this position. It is the responsibility of this position to provide patient care in the form of vital signs, explanation of prescriptions and general visit, and escorting the patient to appropriate areas of the clinic. It is the responsibility of this position to provide accurate, and appropriate information to authorized individuals in a timely and efficient manner. Other duties and responsibilities may be required by the Spine Team Texas Compliance Manager or a member of the Medical Staff.
Customer Service

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Must be able to be on feet and walking for long periods of time. This position works in a well-lit, air conditioned clinical environment. Must have ability to assist in lifting patients if needed. Must be able to work under pressure. Tasks may involve exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials.
