As an Associate with Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, you will have the opportunity to assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Interview patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patientsβ charts.
- Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
- Assists with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or nurse.Β
- Performs select clinical duties.
- Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records and filing.
- Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies.Β
- Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
- Provide patient instruction and education as directed by the physician or nurse, or refers when appropriate
- Perform phlebotomy and injections under nurse supervision
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Microsoft Office knowledge and computer skills required
- Ability to maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients and their representatives, managers, physicians, other clinic staff, outside agencies, and the public.
- Ability to effectively document patient vitals and medical information in a timely manner

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 Year of Experience Working in an Outpatient setting
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Graduate of Medical Assistant program or Associates Degree in Medical Sciences with emphasis in Anatomy
REQUIRED LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:
- BLS credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
PREFERRED LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Certified Medical Assistant
- Phlebotomy competency certified
