Position: Front Desk Coordinator (Busy Cardiology Practice) 

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive individual to join our team as a Front Desk Coordinator. In this role, you'll seamlessly step into a fast-paced, dynamic environment and take full ownership of front desk operations. As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, you will be responsible for creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere upon arrival. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked waiting room. 
  • Greet all patients and visitors with professionalism and a friendly attitude. 
  • Answer phones, address inquiries, and route calls efficiently. 
  • Accurately schedule patient appointments. 
  • Process referrals and pre-authorizations for patient care. 
  • Collect co-pays and outstanding balances at the time of service. 
  • Ensure the waiting area remains tidy and stocked with beverages. 
  • Keep patient information up to date and accurate in the system. 
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams for smooth patient flow. 
  • Schedule follow-up appointments for patients seen in the hospital. 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor. 

Qualifications: 

  • Prior experience in a medical office or cardiology practice is preferred. 
  • Strong multitasking skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to cross-train in various administrative tasks, including referrals and authorizations. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • A professional, friendly demeanor with exceptional customer service abilities. 
  • Proficient with scheduling software and office technology. 
  • Discretion in handling sensitive information and adherence to HIPAA guidelines. 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). 
  • Knowledge of EClinicalWorks EMR system is a plus. 

Compensation: 

  • Hourly rate: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
