What You’ll Do

As the face of the practice, you’ll play a key role in:

Patient Check-In

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information in the system.
  • Prepare charts, obtain necessary signatures, and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Communicate with patients about their appointments, referrals, and any required forms or waivers.

Patient Check-Out

  • Review fee sheets for accuracy and ensure patients understand the doctor’s instructions.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and provide detailed instructions for next steps.
  • Verify insurance and collect payments, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Thank patients for their visit and address any remaining questions or concerns.

Administrative Support

  • Answer phone calls promptly and professionally, addressing patient inquiries and scheduling appointments.
  • Confirm upcoming appointments and follow up with no-show patients to reschedule as needed.
  • Maintain an organized and tidy waiting area, ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors.
  • Manage patient files, referrals, and records release requests with precision.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Education & Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent, with at least 2 years of experience in a medical practice.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office, and familiarity with medical software.
  • Interpersonal Skills: A pleasant, empathetic demeanor and excellent communication abilities.
  • Organization: The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail and accuracy.
