What You'll Do

As an integral member of the clinical team, you will:

  • Conduct thorough patient workups and specialized diagnostic testing to support the provider, managing 4-6 patient encounters per hour.
  • Perform a variety of advanced testing (OCT, visual fields, keratometry, tonometry, visual field testing, and more) to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Assist with in-office procedures, including setup, patient education, and post-procedure care.
  • Manage contact lens fittings, orders, and patient instructions, keeping inventory up to date.
  • Document patient interactions and provider notes in the EMR system with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Act as a technical resource, ensuring all equipment is maintained, calibrated, and ready for use.

What We’re Looking For

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Experience: At least 2-3 years in a medical, optometric, or ophthalmic setting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with diagnostic tools, EMR systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Interpersonal Skills: A professional, empathetic, and energetic demeanor with excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Education & Certification: Associate’s Degree in a healthcare field, COA/COT certification (preferred).
