We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pharmacist to join our team. This position will oversee the operations of the Pharmacy while the Pharmacy Director is out of the clinic. This position is responsible for accurately filling controlled medications, prescribed by Providers, in a timely manner. This position also provides clear and concise communication with patients, clinical staff, and medical providers. Enjoy a Health Center environment working Monday- Friday, day shifts. No call and no weekends required!
Responsibilities:
- Dispense medication and provide instruction on correct usage
- Interpret and review prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication
- Monitor patient health and progress to ensure medications are working effectively
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective patient care
- Provide advice on medication and health-related queries
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality is maintained
- Keep up-to-date with new medications and their possible side effects or interactions
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D. ) degree
- Valid Pharmacy license in the state of Kansas.
- Strong knowledge of medications, their uses, and potential side effects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience with FQHC, rural communities & 340B program is preferred.
