Job Summary:
Are you a compassionate and skilled Psychiatrist looking to make a difference in the lives of individuals struggling with mental health and substance use disorders?
Alabama Regional Medical Services (ARMS) is seeking a dedicated psychiatrist to provide comprehensive psychiatric care, including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD). Join our team and help patients regain control of their lives through expert clinical care, therapy recommendations, and ongoing support.
What You’ll Do:
· Conduct psychiatric evaluations and mental status examinations for referred and enrolled patients.
· Diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans for mental health and substance use disorders.
· Prescribe psychotropic medications and MAT/MOUD when appropriate.
· Monitor patient’s progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
· Collaborate with primary care providers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient care.
· Provide guidance and clinical expertise to mid-level practitioners as needed.
· Offer education and support to patients and their families on managing mental health conditions.
· Stay up to date on new treatments and best practices in psychiatry and addiction medicine.
What We’re Looking For:
· MD or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with an active Alabama medical license.
· Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
· MAT and MOUD Certification required.
· Completion of psychiatry residency.
· 3+ years of experience in clinical, hospital, or private practice settings (preferred).
· Strong knowledge of psychotherapeutic methods and medication management.
· Excellent communication, observation, and patient care skills.
· Ability to work with diverse populations and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
