Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Middle School Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at a therapeutic day school in Joliet, Illinois. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in helping around 32 students ages 6-22 years old. In this role, you will have a private office space to provide student services. You will work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure students receive the support they need to succeed academically and socially. Responsibilities:

  • Completes evaluations to assess speech needs and areas of growth for students in the therapeutic setting.
  • Assist case manager with developing student Individualized Education Plan (IEP) tailored to each student’s needs and goals.
  • Provide direct and indirect speech and language services to identified students within the diverse learning program
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff to meet the students' speech and/or language needs
  • Observe students and collect data to measure progress and adjust treatment plans
  • Communicate regularly with parents, sharing progress updates and providing strategies for continued support at home
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university
  • IDFPR License in the state of Illinois
  • Active Professional Educators License (PEL)
