Speech Language Pathologist - in-patient- Evanston

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Speech Therapist – in-patient
  • Location: Evanston Hospital
  • Full-Time
  • Hours: M-F 8a-430p with rotating weekends
  • Required Travel: Evanston, Glenbrook, Highland Park: will be cross trained at Glenbrook, Highland Park and Skokie Hospitals, but would be only rotating sites on weekends if needed.
  • Holidays: some holidays

What you will do:

  • Provide evaluation, treatment and follow-up services to physician referred patients
  • Prepare and maintain accurate patient records including evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries and billing
  • Participates in the clinical supervision of students

What you will need:

  • License: Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the State of IL required.
  • Education: Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from a university program accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
  • Certification: CPR certification required. Holds or is working towards a Certificate of Clinical Competence of the American-Speech-Hearing Association.
  • Experience: in-patient
  • Skills: experience with Video Swallow studies and acute care therapy
