The staff Speech Therapist functions as an integral part of the rehabilitation team and has a responsibility for evaluating and treating patients requiring services associated with speech therapy. The Speech Therapist is expected to communicate with the physicians regarding the patient’s treatment plan and progress and deliver services consistent with policies and procedures governing the delivery of patient care by the Rehabilitation Department, State Licensure and Code of Ethics standards.
Position primarily focuses on Pediatrics and Outpatient Speech patient population. Works closely with interdisciplinary team (OT/PT/Providers) to coordinate care plans for best patient outcomes

Education:
| Master’s degree from accredited curriculum in Speech Therapy |

License(s)/Certification(s):
| Current licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Iowa Must possess and maintain current BLS certification or obtain certification within three months from date of hire. Completion of four hours of stroke education prior to the end of orientation and annually | Membership in Professional Association is desirable |
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
| Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English. Multicultural sensitivity Basic Computer skills Customer/patient focused. |
