We are interested in adding a talented, energetic and positive Veterinarian to our growing team based in Anchorage, Alaska. The AK SPCA Clinic provides low-cost spay and neuter services, dental and surgical procedures, and basic care for dogs, cats, and rabbits. Staff veterinarians typically work a 40-hour (4-10s) week with two days of S/N, one of dental/surgeries, and one of exams. Our vets also provide care and support for our animal shelter.
About the Alaska SPCA: The AK SPCA is a private nonprofit organization and the oldest animal welfare organization in the state. In addition to the Anchorage-based clinic and shelter, we operate a mobile outreach clinic and partner to deliver critical veterinary services to remote, “frontier” communities without vet services; an array of pet family support resources; and public education programs. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited veterinary school; eligible for state licensure and DEA registration. Recent graduates will be considered and board certification is not required. Salary will be based on years of experience.
