Description:

The Social Worker will be providing integrated assessment and intervention services to children and youth with emotional and behavioral issues.

Assessment, intervention, and rehabilitation interventions would be delivered within the school district (this role is district wide) and community contexts. This would involve providing the necessary supports to children, youth, and their families in their respective schools, neighborhoods, or other accessible community-based service locations. Social Workers will develop collaborative working relationships and service linkages with other specialized departmental and community agencies that provide essential supports to meet the adaptation needs of children, youth and their families.

Qualifications:  Graduation from university with a master’s degree in social work, or graduation from university with a Bachelor of Social Work degree, plus related experience, or graduation from university at the bachelor level in a related discipline as recognized by the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers plus considerable related experience.

Necessary Special Requirement:Registration [or eligibility] with the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers.
