Job Description Summary

The clinical pharmacist specialist will participate clinical services per policy/protocol outlined by the organization. The clinical pharmacist specialist will be responsible for education activities including but not limited to maintenance of initial and annual trainings required by the organization, development of new educational activities for regulatory, patient safety, operational and clinical initiatives in collaboration with pharmacy leaders and care team members, and development and maintenance of an onboarding program for pharmacists and technicians.

Job Description

Minimum Training and Education: Doctor of Pharmacy or a Bachelor's degree in pharmacy. Completion of a pharmacy residency preferred.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

Preferred: Interest in Critical Care or Emergency Medicine
