The Division of Psychology/Neuropsychology in collaboration with the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Women’s Institute are seeking a psychologist to join our growing team. Role is a clinically focused position, serving on multidisciplinary teams within our NICU and Maternal Fetal Medicine inpatient units. Primary clinical responsibilities include inpatient consultation, screenings for trauma and Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, individual and group evidenced based intervention, neurodevelopmental assessment for NICU patients. Position includes opportunities for program development, research, and clinical training of post-doctoral fellows/ residents.

The Jennifer Leigh Muma Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Tampa General Hospital is an 82 bed, level 3 unit providing specialized care to the most fragile infants.
Some special services our NICU offers includes management of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy with whole body hypothermia therapy, nitric oxide therapy, mechanical ventilation including high frequency oscillator therapy, management of metabolic and genetic disorders, and dialysis (peritoneal and hemodialysis).
