This position is full time, days, at Riley Dental Clinic.

Responsibilities:



  • · Performs patient care services under the supervision of a Dentist

  • · Assures accurate collection of patient medical history, cognitive/emotional diagnosis, and clinical care provided

  • · Prioritizes patient care based on resources, unit volume, and patient prognosis

  • · Provides patient education/teaching, explains insurance coverage/co-pays, and assures necessary documents are complete

  • · As directed by Dentist/Hygentist, obtains diagnostic dental x-rays using a safe radiology process

  • · Uses advanced behavior management techniques to support safe and effective care with uncooperative patients

  • · Performs administrative and registration duties, schedules patient visits, and engages in patient correspondence

  • Additional duties as assigned


Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma/GED is required.

  • Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.

  • BLS-CPR certification required.

  • Active Dental Radiology License in Indiana required within 9 months of hire date and maintained.

  • Certification in Dental Assisting from and accredited program or on the job training with minimum of 2 years experience in Dental Assisting required.

  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job required. 

  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English required.

  • Requires the ability to demonstrate and foster diversity and inclusion skills.

  • Requires excellent skills in handling apprehensive or difficult to manage children.

  • Requires the ability to work with medically, physically, and/or cognitively compromised patients.

  • Requires the ability to treat patients with special health needs, cognitive needs, and/or those with extreme dental fear.
