AMAZING state of the art practice looking for a FT hygienist. Current hours M-Th 8-5 with the potential to expand into Fridays. Part-time work would also be a possibility. We are looking for a self starter, motivated, team player to grow with our practice.Β

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling, fluoride and sealant application, and root planning.
  • Complete a thorough assessment of the patient's oral and dental health, including periodontal charting and the taking of diagnostic radiographs.
  • Develop dental hygiene treatment plans and coordinate care with the dental team.
  • Provide detailed instructions regarding preventive dental care, including proper brushing and flossing techniques.
  • Maintain patient records with accuracy, detailing all treatment plans and services performed up to health and legal standards.
  • Advise patients on the implications of oral health for overall wellness, educating them on disease prevention and health promotion.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and innovations in dental hygiene and patient care.
  • Ensure adherence to all necessary health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the dental team to effectively manage oral health needs and promote a seamless patient experience.
  • Participate in community outreach programs, promoting dental health awareness and Awesome Dental’s services.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and team members.
  • Knowledge of dental software and computer operation, with a preference for experience in electronic health records.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform multitasking efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning in dental hygiene and related fields.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, ensuring patient and staff safety.
  • A strong ethical stance regarding patient privacy, confidentiality, and quality of care.
