 This is a safety sensitive position. Performs professional general dental care in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Licensed to practice dentistry in the state of Oklahoma.  
• Graduate of a formal accredited school of dentistry 
• Working knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of dental and oral diseases
• Working knowledge of the principles, standard practices methods, and techniques of dentistry.  
• Working knowledge of preventative dentistry and educational methodologies utilized in prevention.  
• Skill in oral operative techniques 
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and staff.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

A. Provides preventative clinical services: 

1. Prophylaxis of teeth 
2. Sealants 
3. Oral hygiene education 
4. Baby bottle tooth decay education 
5. Radiographs 
6. Topical fluoride applications 
7. Impressions 
8. Coronal polishing 
9. Amalgam polishing 
10. Space maintenance 
11. Root planning and curettage 

B. Provides emergency clinical services:  

1. Extractions 
2. Incisive and drain infections 
3. Prescribes medications as needed 
4. Treatment of oral trauma 

C. Provides restorative clinical services:  

1. Amalgams 
2. Composites 
3. Crowns 
4. Endodontics 
5. Prosthetics 

D. Diagnosis of dental and oral diseases 

E. Required to work in-clinic.
