Position Overview:

We're seeking a Part-time Speech Pathologist for a FIFO role from Queensland. This unique roster offers the best of both worldsβ€”the vibrancy of city life and the adventure of remote communities. In terms of swings there is some flexibility. Ideally, a 2 week Darwin:2 week QLD roster (with 1 week working part-time and 1 week off) would work great and is a successful model one of our OT's is using. However, we are open to 1 week swings too - please discuss with us.

A Typical Day in the Role May Look Like…

  • Amazing outreach trips to beautiful remote locations to provide face-to-face services to our regional participants.
  • Providing face-to-face or Telehealth services to our participants from our office.
  • Working with a predominantly paediatric caseload, with the intention to broaden this in the future.
  • Providing services to participants in their homes, schools, or community centres.
  • Regular multidisciplinary meetings with other Patches disciplines to optimise holistic care and multidisciplinary goal setting for participants.
  • Completing relevant non-face-to-face work, including progress notes, resource preparation, and report writing.
  • Receiving support from colleagues experienced in remote service provision.

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain the following certifications if not already held:

- AHPRA registration.

- Working with Children Check (WWC) and NDIS Workers Check.

- National Police Certificate.

  • Willingness to explore remote locations through outreach trips.
  • A desire for adventure and love of the outdoors.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proof of work rights (Australian Passport/Citizenship certificate, or a valid visa).
