Licensed Clinical Social Worker

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Completes a thorough mental health/drug abuse assessment of clients as indicated and refers to outside sources for services as needed.
• Reviews and facilitates, if appropriate, mental health referrals from other sources such as primary care, school health, etc.  Offers alternative recommendations where necessary.
• Coordinates with eligibility determination and directs the process of linking clients to a comprehensive array of needed services.  Ensures referrals for patients requiring services not offered at the health center.
• Reviews case worker's assessment of clients as appropriate and coordinate the development of a plan of care.
• Oversees ongoing client assessment and care plan development, monitoring individual client outcomes.
• Provides on-site prevention, intervention, and treatment within his/her scope of practice, to clients presenting with a number of mental and/or psychosocial illnesses, including depression, substance abuse, stress, uncontrolled anger, and alcoholism.

• Participates in peer review, quality assurance, provider meetings, and other clinical meetings, providing input specific to case management and client mental health services.
• Assists in the staff development, education, and training process by including perspectives from the fields of mental health and substance abuse.
• Participates in any ongoing quality improvement activities in the clinical area.
• Participates in all safety programs, which may include assignment to an emergency response team.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Master's degree in social or behavioral sciences
• Licensed in Florida as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor 
• Insurability (malpractice)
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)

The Center is the primary site of employment.  The Center provides no professional liability protection for moonlighting.
