Summary

Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN) Family Birthing Center, a Level 3 Neonatology (NICU) hospital site, located at Manchester Memorial Hospital invites practicing Physician Assistants (PA-C) to apply for either a Full-Time (32-40 Hour position) or Part-Time (18–30-hour position) hospital employed opportunity offering a flexible schedule and work-life balance. You will enjoy a multidisciplinary team approach and the support of a strong partnership with Connecticut Children’s Medical Center Neonatologists (ranked as one of the top children’s hospitals in the nation for pediatric and neonatology care) with inspiring expert neonatology care. The specialist team is further comprised of Neonatology APRN/PA-C providers, Neonatology Nurses, Lactation Consultants,  Physical Therapists, Respiratory Therapists, and Social Workers. Position Highlights:

  • Level 3 Neonatology Intensive Care Unit, 10 bed availability, with well infant nursery
  • Providing high risk care for neonates, attendance at deliveries and c-sections, as well as providing resuscitation and continued NICU care
  • Daily clinical management, rounding, admissions, and documentation
  • Neonatal procedures include, but not limited to, intubation, umbilical catheterization, lumbar puncture, arterial puncture, IV placement, bladder catheterization, chest tube placement
  • 24 hour or 12-hour rotating shifts supporting work-life balance

Requirements:

  • Graduates of an Advanced Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program must have 2 or more years of experience as Neonatology/NICU Physician Assistant (PA-C)
  • Connecticut licensed, Federal DEA, and Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) or soon eligible
