Description

Rothman Orthopaedics is looking for a full time Physician Relations Specialist to join our team! This position is designed to cover the NJ region which includes Central NJ, South NJ and the Shore. Candidates can expect 2-3 days of travel throughout the region per week with the opportunity to work from home other days.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5 PM with flexibility for events

Job Summary:

The Physician Relations Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with referring providers and their staff to increase patient referrals to Rothman Orthopaedics. They will communicate with referring providers via in-person and virtual meetings and host them at various events throughout the year. They will also set up a series of community lectures and medical professional educational events.

Key Accountabilities:

Meet quarterly metrics - number of physician interactions and community/referring provider events. Meet quarterly new patient target for the assigned territory. Establish new relationships in the territory with potential referral sources (i.e. YMCA’s, fitness centers, senior centers, sports facilities, etc.). Β Increase referral volume from external referral sources. Set up a series of medical professional and community educational lectures.

Essential Duties:

  1. Meet in-person and virtually with referring providers. During these meetings, the Physician Relations Specialist will provide the latest version of the RO Marketing Kit in a professional, friendly manner and be sure to highlight pertinent information.
  2. Pertaining to above, the Physician Relations Specialist will regularly pull referral data to strategize and plan Β which referring providers/offices they will meet with.
  3. Document notes from physician interactions/meetings and events in Salesforce. Keep database up to date.Β 
  4. Introduce new Rothman physicians to referring providers.
  5. Organize and promote medical professional and community educational lectures.
  6. Assist with and coordinate other marketing projects and events when needed as assigned by the Physician Relations Supervisor, including but not limited to: new office open houses, Rothman 8K, suite games, sports sponsorship events, etc.
  7. Work with Brand Team to coordinate e-blasts, social media posts, sponsorship events, as well as keep all marketing materials accurate and up-to-date.
  8. Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • One (1) to two (2) years of experience
  • Healthcare experience is preferred!
  • Computer skills including, but not limited to, MS Office
