Located in Columbia, Missouri, between Kansas City and St. Louis, CenterPointe Hospital of Columbia is a private, 80-bed facility that provides clinically excellent behavioral health treatment for adolescents, adults, and senior adults. At CenterPointe Hospital of Columbia, we serve children and adolescents who have mental health concerns and adults and senior adults who have mental health concerns and substance use disorders. We offer both inpatient and outpatient treatment options, along with specialty services such as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) for adults who are struggling with major depressive disorder.

Overview:

Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and/or medication.









Responsibilities






  • Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
  • Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
  • Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
  • Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
  • Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
  • Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
  • Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.








Qualifications






  • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
  • One or more years’ post graduate degree practice preferred.
  • Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Board certification in psychiatry
  • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
