Job Summary


Milestone Health Partners of Williston is growing and seeking to add a full-time speech language pathologist who wants to be a part of an interdisciplinary team. The position is focused on a therapist who enjoys working with children and adults with a variety of needs. Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Reviews hearing or speech and language test results, barium swallow results, or medical or background information to diagnose and plan treatment for speech, language, fluency, voice, or swallowing disorders
  • Administers speech and language evaluations or tests to patients to collect information on type and degree of impairments
  • Writes reports and maintains proper documentation
  • Develops and implements treatment plans for problems including but not limited to stuttering, delayed language, swallowing disorders, or inappropriate pitch or harsh voice
  • Plans, organizes, and conducts speech, language, and feeding therapy sessions in a clinical setting with pediatric and adult patients
  • Selects activities that will help patients learn activities of daily living within limits of their mental and physical capabilities
  • Educates and trains a patient’s caregivers about how to support patient’s speech and language skills
  • Participates in treatment team, staff, and professional meetings
  • Works collaboratively with other disciplines

Requirements and Qualifications


  • Master of Science/Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university
  • North Dakota Speech-Language Pathology license
  • Experience working with a variety of patient speech and language needs within the clinical setting
  • Compassionate and sensitive to patients’ needs and concerns
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
