Job Summary:


Provides diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders. Adheres to state and federal regulatory license, certification and accrediting requirement guidelines. Serves as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team.


Job Requirements:



Education and Work Experience:



  • Master's Degree: Required

  • Two years' speech language pathology experience: Preferred




Licenses/Certifications:



  • Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice: Required

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required

  • American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC): Required

  • Speech-Language Pathology (SLP): Required

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP): Required




Essential Functions:



  • Reviews patient information before evaluations and during course of treatment.

  • Conducts and documents comprehensive patient assessments.

  • Assists in data collection of patient outcomes.

  • Instructs and directs support staff, as outlined in national and state Practice Acts.

  • Supervises assistants and support staff.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
