Job Description

Our Surgical Clinical Coordinators are an integral member of our team and help foster our clinically led culture by focusing on optimizing schedules for our providers, ensuring that processes and systems are maintained, and holding the team accountable. By joining our team, you will have:

Key Responsibilities 

  • Work with the Surgical Support Lead to optimize schedules for the clinical providers and effectively communicate with the Surgical Support Lead to ensure consistency and unity  

  • Ensure patient records are complete and accurate while also completing clinical notes on an as needed basis 

  • Ensure sterilization reports are accurate and up to date 

  • Responsible for monitoring team morale, the day-to-day operations of the department as well as new employee onboarding, team training, and helping in evaluating performance 

  • Accurately prepare operatories with the correct tools prior to each scheduled treatment to mitigate downtime and clean/sterilize the operatory after each treatment is completed 

  • Support with interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, and terminations 

  • Point of contact for facilities management (repairs, utilities, etc) and responsible for ordering all supplies 

  • Assist Doctor during treatment and provide coverage when team members are on PTO or sick days 

 

Qualifications

  • Dental Assistant Certificate where state regulations specify  

  • X-ray certification where state regulations specify  

  • Associate degree in Business, Healthcare or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience 

  • 5+ minimum years of dental assisting experience 

  • 1+ years management experience (preferred) 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, time management, organizational, and team building skills

Working Environment & Physical Requirements  

This is a clinical working environment where potential exposure to hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens is possible. Requires prolonged periods of standing, sitting, leaning, and bending up to 8 hours a day. Will be required to carry, transport, and use tools and equipment. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
