Who We're Looking For:

We are seeking a Temporary Second Dental Assistant to join our team, with the possibility of transitioning to a full-time, permanent role based on performance. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of dental assisting experience, although this is not required. We value enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic over years of experience.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable hands-on experience while supporting the lead Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and dentist with day-to-day tasks in our practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the lead RDA with tasks such as cleaning and preparing rooms for patients and procedures
  • Take x-rays, dental impressions, and perform scanning procedures as needed
  • Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and equipment
  • Set up and break down rooms for dental procedures
  • Assist with patient charting and record-keeping under the guidance of the dentist and RDA
  • Provide patient care support during dental procedures and help ensure patient comfort
  • Perform additional tasks to ensure smooth daily operations

Requirements:

  • 1 year of dental assisting experience preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of basic dental procedures, x-rays, and scanning is a plus (training will be provided if necessary)
  • A team player with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions closely
  • Eagerness to learn and take on new responsibilities
