The work week consists of 3 assigned days (Monday-Sunday) working from 7am-7pm + a 4 hour day which is usually assigned to a Monday or a Friday from 7-11 or 8-12 depending on the need. During the shifts, (including the weekend days) the NP/PA will respond or assist with Category I or II traumas, inpatient rounding, see consults, see follow-up patients in the trauma office suite (not Saturday or Sunday), and first assist the trauma surgeon in OR. The work schedule for the weekend is from 7am-7pm on Saturday & Sunday & no more than every other weekend -it can be one in 3 as some surgeons do not utilize the NP/PA on the weekend. On the weekend, the NP/PA can leave the facility as work will allow, however must be able to respond within 30 minutes.

NO overlaps in NP/PA shifts
Average of 117 traumas per month & a daily of 4.
NOT required to float to ED/Urgent Care if volumes are down
2 years trauma experience strongly preferred, but may consider a new grad if prior trauma or ED experience as an RN or Paramedic
Must be a strong team player with a positive attitude and respect for a team concept
Will act as First Assist in surgery (chest tubes, central lines, suturing, etc.)
Will be a First Responder for trauma calls
$15,000 sign-on bonus

Acquisition of Prescriptive Authority (COA) required
ACLS, PALS, TNCC required at a minimum
