Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Care:

  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for adult patients in inpatient settings.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention.
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, and nursing staff, to deliver holistic and patient-centered care.
  • Conduct routine follow-up appointments and regular patient evaluations to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Manage patients with a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychosis, and substance use disorders.

Collaborative Care:

  • Serve as a key member of the multidisciplinary team, providing guidance and support for other clinical staff in treatment planning and patient care.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals across the hospital, including those in emergency services, primary care, and specialty clinics, to ensure coordinated care for patients.
  • Provide consultation and supervision to psychiatry residents and medical students, fostering an educational environment for future clinicians.
  • Lead or participate in case conferences, treatment reviews, and team meetings to discuss complex cases and ensure comprehensive care.

Patient Safety & Quality Improvement:

    • Adhere to hospital policies, medical standards, and ethical practices in all aspects of care delivery.
    • Ensure patient safety by monitoring for signs of acute mental health crises and taking appropriate action, including risk assessment and crisis management.
    • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes, improving service delivery, and optimizing clinical protocols.
    • All other duties as assigned.
